This Weekend: Join us for Our End of Summer Celebration!

This Labor Day weekend, we’re sending summer off with a bang!

Many consider Labor Day to be the end of the summer, and we don’t want to let it pass by without a big celebration to say “thank you” to everyone who visited us and helped us have a great season.

Visit our EcoVillage on 8/30 to learn more about our non-profit environmental partners.

On Saturday, August 30, we’ll be hosting our second EcoVillage at our Flagship Store in Freeport, Maine. This is your chance to learn more about L.L.Bean’s environmental nonprofit partners: Portland Trails, the Maine Island Trail Association, Maine Audubon, Friends of Casco Bay and Wolfe’s Neck Farm. Summer is a perfect time to enjoy everything in the outdoors that these organizations support and protect, but there’s never a bad time of year to get involved.

Visit our EcoVillage on 8/30 to learn more about our non-profit environmental partners.

At 7:30 p.m., Brett Dennen will be performing the final concert in our Free Summer Concert Series, brought to you by the L.L.Bean Visa Card. You can hear the folk and acoustic influences in his mellow, melodic music. His latest album, Smoke and Mirrors, features the hit song “Wild Child.” Brett recently played at the Newport Folk Festival Way Over Yonder event and on The Late Show with David Letterman.

Brett Dennen will perform at L.L.Bean in Freeport on Saturday, 8/30

After the concert, stick around for a special fireworks display (fireworks starting around 9 p.m.). The Town of Freeport had to reschedule their 4th of July fireworks due to weather conditions, so we thought we’d end our summer concert series with a bang!

Thank you again for a great summer of concerts, events and outdoor memories! Keep following the Trailmix blog for updates about more L.L.Bean events – there’s always something coming up right around the corner, every season of the year.
