Wintervention’s Greatest Hits

After five weeks, 15 campuses, and over 2,100 miles traveled, the L.L.Bean Bootmobile has officially completed its second Wintervention college tour. We had a great time visiting New England colleges, and an even better time inspiring students to get outdoors and enjoy the winter chill. And from the huge collection of #Wintervention photos on our Facebook page, it looks like everyone enjoyed this year’s tour as much as we did!

From L.L.Bean Boot ties to elaborate critter costumes, students across campuses showed some serious enthusiasm for Wintervention.

Throughout the tour, students entered to win a prize package by tagging their Twitter or Instagram photos with #Wintervention. As we trekked on, we received cute, crazy, and incredibly creative contest entries. Our deer decoy, Bucky, was quite popular.

Wintervention is best enjoyed with friends and family.

From homecoming fireworks and impromptu a capella performances to showing off the Bootmobile in all its Rolling Rally glory, we’re ending this year’s tour with many great memories. But the fun isn’t over yet! We can’t wait to hear about all of your fun winter adventures, and continue to gear you up along the way.

Our Bootmobile drivers Keith and Eddie take a little break on a big chair during the last Wintervention stop at Temple University.

I just wanted to say that I received my coat today it is so nice and beautiful. I cannot believe how small it was when I opened it, it is really soft to the touch it is the Baxter State Parka. I am really surprised at how fast it came by UPS. I am sure it will last for ever, I hope I don’t lose too much weight while I wear it. Thanks so much for sending me the coat so quickly.

Nice and cosy to wear in the winter here in Canada eh?

    Yours, Sincerely
    Franca Dotchin
