Maybe a little extreme for a snowboard trip, but two-time world champion snowboarder and L.L.Bean Testing and Design Partner, Seth Wescott wouldn’t have it any other way. After all, charging through avalanches and high-altitude drops is a breeze when you can hitch a ride to the top of Alaska’s Chugach Mountains.

Though Seth and Rob’s idea of a weekend trip is a bit more intense than most, comfortable gear was at the top of their packing lists and they were well-outfitted, thanks to Seth’s collaboration with L.L.Bean. Outerwear from the Ascent Collection allowed for high performance and protection from the elements, while gear from the Traverse line kept them warm off the slopes. With Seth’s feedback and rigorous testing, we were able to design gear fit for world champions and snow bunnies alike.

In addition to a 64-year-long legacy of showing the world’s best skiers and snowboarders in action, Warren Miller films are famous for their ability to transport fans to exotic locations around the world, and this year is no exception. From the Tian Shan range in Kazakhstan to the glacial peaks of Greenland, Ticket to Ride combines thrilling action with a simple message, to get out and enjoy the outdoors.

Grab tickets and view the Ticket to Ride schedule before the tour ends on December 13.  And if you’re in the Northeast or Chicago area, be sure to visit the L.L.Bean booth on-site to see products from the movie and win great gear. Here’s where we’ll be:
