Good Things Come in Threes

Don’t believe it? Look no further than the Musketeers, Chipmunks and Stooges. There’s even the Latin phrase omne trium perfectum (everything that comes in threes is perfect). It’s an essential number in fairy tales and the gold standard for circus rings. Three is looking out for us, stepping in right after two-for-the-show and warning us to get ready. So, it was only natural that we use three lines of stitching for the seams in our new Triple Needle Collection.

Triple-Needle Collection

This isn’t new for us. We’ve been using triple-needle stitching for our iconic L.L.Bean Boots for years. To us, three rows of stitching means doing something better than we have to. It means going the extra mile to make sure our products stand up to the toughest customers. Three lines of stitching say you can depend on me. This is just as true today as it was a century ago.

Triple stitching

So when our design team came up with the idea for our Triple Needle Collection, they set out to create a bag that reflected our 100-year tradition of quality. One that would look and feel broken-in right out of the gate. A trusted companion to carry your laptop, your workout gear or a change of clothes for a night out after work. And with this new collection, that’s what they did. Three cheers!

Inside the Triple-Needle Messenger Bag
