  4. Alyssa | January 11, 2013 | 4:05 pm

I am dying for these Bean Boots to add to my collection: http://www.llbean.com/llb/shop/74901?feat=775-GN1&page=9-leather-maine-hunting-shoe-lounger&attrValue_0=Brown&productId=1243653. My dad had the older version when I was growing up, and I always thought he looked so dorky. Now I’m dying for my own pair to wear with EVERYTHING! I guess parents are usually right after all.

But really, let’s be honest, any new pair of Bean Boots would do wonders for my wardrobe! They go with everything – PJs running out to the store, skinny jeans, skirts – everything!

  5. Alex | January 11, 2013 | 4:06 pm

  13. Betsy | January 11, 2013 | 4:18 pm

I’d put mine on 1st thing in the morning and not take them off until bedtime. Bean boots are always great for everything: the trip to the gym before changing into gym shoes, the trip to work and most days keeping them on in the office, wearing them in the kitchen while fixing supper and finally taking them off just before bedtime. Bean boots are always classy and fit most any situation.

The best place to wear them would be going on one of my regular walks when it snows around downtown Halifax, a beautiful place when it snows – up Citadel Hill and around, and showing all of these silly Canadians who don’t know what L. L. Bean is what they are missing out on!

  74. Lesly C | January 11, 2013 | 8:40 pm

  88. K | January 11, 2013 | 8:57 pm

I wear them with everything/anything and during almost any event: a charity heart walk (everyone else wore sneakers and slogged through puddles, while my feet were dry and comfy in Bean gumshoes); walking through the chilly streets of NYC on our way to a hockey game at Madison Square Garden; and every day when I walk the dogs in New England weather.

  89. Carolyn RB | January 11, 2013 | 8:57 pm

I’d wear my Bean boots to work, to play, to hike and to dub around the yard and garden. I had a pair of classic Beaners in high school and college, and used to wear them with a long multi-colored skirt and (gasp) leg warmers- this was in the late 70s/early 80′s. I don’t think I can relive that ancient history, but I can make fun new memories with a new pair of Bean boots.

  90. Paul Elgin | January 11, 2013 | 8:58 pm

I would wear My made in the usa llbean boots with a pair of cargo hiking pants and put them to the full test treking through mud/water and snow.

  96. Michael | January 11, 2013 | 9:07 pm

I wear my LL Bean boots out here in Los Angeles to remind me of where I’m from, the south. It’s easy to lose who you are out here in this madness and my LL Bean boots have kept me grounded to my roots. Even though it barely reaches cool temperatures here, I’ll never leave them behind. Thanks!!!

My Bean Boots would be worn with black pants, brown pants, red pants, blue pants, orange pants, no pants, old pants, new pants. Are we noticing a trend here? But, in all seriousness, I love Bean Boots dressed up with stockings and the perfect little black dress or dressed down with old blue jeans and an oversized sweater. Function + comfort meets a classic & sophisticated boot.

  102. KAYDELL MURPHY | January 11, 2013 | 9:13 pm

OH MY…I was thinking how badly I wanted to get myself a pair of Bean boots. Funds are very limited so will have to wait. :( Now, I see a wonderful opportunity to win a pair…happy day:). Anyway, I would wear my boots with anything and everyday that required a pair of great boots. I owned a pair as a child and loved them. I also owned a pair as a very young adult and pretty much wore them completely out. These are great quality boots and I love the retro feel I get when I see them. They bring back happy memories. Thanks for this opportunity.

    Kaydell

  103. Courtney | January 11, 2013 | 9:14 pm

  104. Bill Howard | January 11, 2013 | 9:17 pm

Leave the laces loose so they can be slipped on in quickness to fetch firewood, to fetch the mail, to fetch a conversation with the neighbor, to run to the landlord with the rent check, to head to the water’s edge for a splash, and for a gander on the deck to see the geese landing.

  105. Browniebaker | January 11, 2013 | 9:18 pm

I wear my black Bean boots with black leggings.

  106. Kailey B | January 11, 2013 | 9:18 pm

I’d wear my new LLBean boots out playing in the snow with my kids. My feet wouldnt get as cold so fast (or wet!), so lots and lots of fun times to be had! The kids dont seem to mind the cold like I do. Those 10” sherling lined ones look SO warm and cozy!

  107. Donna Eades | January 11, 2013 | 9:18 pm

I work in a Nursing Home doing Dementia Activities so the no-skid bottoms are perfect! Also enjoy hiking here in NC. Would love them with khaki’s or jeans; still need to get my comfy lined jeans from you all!…

  113. Singin’ Mom in PA | January 11, 2013 | 9:27 pm

I would (continue to) wear my Bean Boots with nearly anything from autumn through spring, from my jammies on one of those frigid okay-I’ll-give-you-a-ride-to-school-but don’t-get-used-to-it days to concert dress black when the floor’s hard and nobody’s going to see my feet anyway in the back of the soprano section.

  114. Megan Andersen | January 11, 2013 | 9:31 pm

I wear my boots all year regardless. My short shearling lined boots particularly are so comfy I wear them as slippys around the house. And, while outside the house, well I’ll just say, I purposely don’t avoid puddles. But, my favorite are my 17 yr big, felt liner boots I used to wear to and fro from the slopes, comfy and chalk full of memories! Me and my Utah transplant fiance have 7 pair between us, some more worn than others, but are keepers nonetheless. We’re not big shoppers, but when we do we go straight for quality and things we know will last a lifetime. Sincerely, Maine lady and Utahn now Mainer, and always loyal fans.

  115. Megan Andersen | January 11, 2013 | 9:34 pm

at random…hee hee (but note see my first comment – really hope it’s not just random).

  116. Sarah | January 11, 2013 | 9:35 pm

  117. Cody G. | January 11, 2013 | 9:35 pm

I’d put my Bean Boots to work down in East Tennessee (if they can handle it, wink wink) with some jeans and a nice warm puffer jacket

  118. Debbie | January 11, 2013 | 9:36 pm

Warm and furry laced high boots please baby it’s cold outside

  119. David | January 11, 2013 | 9:37 pm

10″ brown boots with pants tucked in—the only way to wear them in mountain snow!

  120. Robin | January 11, 2013 | 9:41 pm

I wear my short ones to keep my feet warm & dry on cold & wet days all Winter / Spring long. I wear my taller ones to keep my feet dry & warm when the snow is falling and I have to use the snowblower & shovel to get rid of it. I would now like a pair of lined ones to keep my feet even warmer. They are the best at keeping my feet dry.

  121. Sarah | January 11, 2013 | 9:46 pm

Bean Boots, oh Bean Boots, I would wear you jumping in front of every lighthouse in Maine with my best friend (capturing each jump with a photo)!

And to my wedding this fall, of course!

  122. Megan A. | January 11, 2013 | 9:48 pm

Doesn’t matter what time of year. I wear my boots regardless. My short shearling lined boots are so comfy I wear them around the house as slippys (though when especially love them during rainy days, I’ll just say, when there’s a puddle, I don’t avoid it). Though my favorite pair are my big, beautiful, bulky felt lined boots I bought initially to wear to and fro the slopes for high school ski team 17 yrs ago. They are worn and battered, though are chalk full of memories and still get lots of mileage. Between me and my now true Mainer fiancé via Utah we’ve got 7 pairs between us, some have more miles than others, but all cherished just the same. We’re not big shoppers, so when we do we buy what we know will last a lifetime. We’re fans just saying. Thanks Beans for reliable footwear on our many local and foreign adventurers, and most importantly so many memories!

  123. randy saunders | January 11, 2013 | 9:55 pm

As soot and ash disguise thy only woolen shirt and utility pants whilst digging deeper into Erebor, my bean boots will carry me. As the biting frost winds of The Wall chill my bones and my direwolf cloak, my bean boots will still carry me. As stray rocks cuts my buccaneer tunic while climbing The Cliffs of Insanity, my bean boots will continue to carry me. Thankfully, a lifetime warranty means that I can wear my bean boots however I’d like; even while reading my favorite fiction.

  163. Stacey | January 12, 2013 | 8:15 am

All of us, my husband, 2 girls ages 14 and 16, and I have Bean Boots. This Christmas we added to our collection and since my girls and I all wear a size 8 boot we wear them in variety of styles. The 10 inch brown shearling lined are a favorite to roll down and wear with jeans and vest. The 8 inch tan are often used heading out to hockey or basketball practices. The 7 inch black quilted are mom’s favorite to wear to work because they are fashionable enough to go with all outfits until I get my shoes on. At night we have to discuss whom is wearing what boot the next day as we live in Vermont! Our biggest problem will be when the 16 year old goes to college and takes a pair. Which one? Would love to add to our collection. Wouldn’t it be great if we all had our own instead of sharing? I think we will have to work to that and hopefully this entry will get us one more pair closer! I have 3 years till both are gone to college! I grew up on LL Bean and love that my girls are following the tradition. Yes, but what about my husband? Poor him only has one. He is feeling left out……… I will take a pic to put on pinterest when we have all boots at home at the same time, that will be hard.

I wore my LL Bean boots to my wedding two Saturdays ago (when Southern CT got 10 in of snow). Last summer, when planning the wedding, I joked with my husband (then fiance) about needing to budget money for a new pair of LL Bean boots because we were getting married in New England in the winter. As expenses started adding up, I decided not to get new boots because we were getting married in Mystic and it rarely snows there anyways.

I regretted that decision as soon as it started to snow the morning of my wedding and I looked at my four inch shiny gold high heels. Fortunately I had brought my trusty pair of 5yr old LL Bean boots to CT with me. I wore them under my dress to the church, changed for the ceremony, and then changed back into them for photos and the reception. Though my guests were slipping and falling all over the place and some had to get rides back to the hotel from a friendly snow plow driver, I never had a single problem. Extra added bonus: I didn’t have a single blister at the end of the day.

Thank you so much for a wonderful and successful wedding day!

  217. Barrett Odom | January 12, 2013 | 10:21 pm

It’s muddy in the back yard now, and the boys and I have some trail work and rock walls to build. Setting up a target area for the new ll bean bow and arrow set we got the kids at Christmas – so, I’d wear a good ‘ole pair (or new pair) of insulated work boots to stay warm and dry! Like hte old timers used to say, (Maine accent imagined) “No mattah how wet an cold ya get; they keep ya sah wahm an dry!”

  478. Carla Vautour | January 15, 2013 | 6:09 pm

  481. Patty | January 15, 2013 | 6:10 pm

I’d wear a new pair just like I wear the pair I’ve had for 10+ years…8 inch (I think) lined with Thinsulate and Gore-tex. In the winter…Bean boots with the fleece-lined Bean jeans tucked in (tied if I’m trudging through snow, untied if I’m shoveling just a few inches of snow off the driveway). In the fall and spring…Bean boots with a regular pair of jeans over them…they’re great for the mud! In the summer…Bean boots with shorts while splashing in rain puddles with my daughter! Love Bean boots!

  482. Cinzia | January 15, 2013 | 6:10 pm

The waxed canvas, sherling lined, 10 inch lace up boots are my favorite! I’d love a pair to wear to the beach while shell hunting and in the mountains during the summer when it rains at camp! They seem to be quite versatile, kinda like my life. One day I’m soccer mom and the next I’m an explorer…good life!

  485. Sarah | January 15, 2013 | 6:11 pm

  494. Rich McNeill | January 15, 2013 | 6:13 pm

The Bean Boots by L.L.Bean®, 8″ Gore-Tex/Thinsulate are the best. Warm, comfortable, and they wick the wetness away from your body. By far the best for shoveling our winter wonderland in New England and for going thru the piles of snow to get to the truck.

  495. Simon M | January 15, 2013 | 6:14 pm

I’d wear my bean boots with my LL Bean ragg wool sweater, over my favourite denim shirt. The perfect thing for keeping warm on a fall walk with my dog.

  503. Cecily Gardner | January 15, 2013 | 6:16 pm

I love my LL Bean boots mid-calf, comfortable and versatile… they’re sturdy enough to hike around the tide pools in Cambria, without worrying about the occasional slip into cold water. And they’re stylish enough to wear with jeans or a skirt and some cozy socks and a leather jacket for a chilly night out in the city… Ready for collecting shells and rocks, or ready to rock ‘n roll… my Beat Boots keep me Boogie-ing!

  506. Ian Lawes | January 15, 2013 | 6:17 pm

my Bean Boots would be especially useful when I go paddling in the sea off South Devon – Weaver Fish are a particular problem in that area – they bury themselves in the sand or mud and project their poisonous spines just above the sea-bottom stinging potential food, enemies and daft humans that come into contact with them – the BBs would afford me perfect protection

  507. Kristen Farmer | January 15, 2013 | 6:17 pm

I love my bean boots but they are about 20 years old and the insert comes out with my foot! I’d wear my new ones in the snow and ice and water cause I know they can take it!!

I love the Men’s L.L.Bean Boots, either 8″ or 10″ Shearling-Lined…had a pair a long time ago and wore them everywhere…to class, hiking, in the snow, fishing, just walking around. They were so comfortable and broke-in just right. They went with everything…jeans, cords, shorts (although some folks made fun of me), you name it and the style was timeless! Then one year many moon’s ago they were gone, lost in a move and nowhere to be found. I miss those ol’ boots and never had a chance to replace them…been through many imitators that have all gone in the trash and would love to have my Bean Boots again!

  517. HYAZZIE | January 15, 2013 | 6:21 pm

  518. Whitney Cant | January 15, 2013 | 6:21 pm

I’m originally from Halifax, Nova Scotia, but I now live in Vancouver, BC, a very rainy and, in the “winter”, deceptively cold place. My Bean boots would keep my feet cozy and dry while giving me the urban-hiker style that is so popular here in Vancouver. I see myself wearing my Bean boots with a pair of burgundy/red wine-colored skinnies, a floral blouse, and a cozy chunky white draped cardigan, and of course my trusty raspberry-colored Trail Model rain jacket or if it’s colder, my favourite Storm Chaser 3-in-1 jacket. I will be adding the new purple AT35 hiking backpack to my collection soon :)

  519. Kim | January 15, 2013 | 6:22 pm

I would wear my new boots exploring the great outdoors at my parents place in Maine.

Anywhere that I want my feet to stay warm and dry!

  521. Deborah Steinberg | January 15, 2013 | 6:23 pm

I was tempted to say that I would wear my Bean boots like the Hawaiian backpackers I saw on Kauai who wore nothing but a sun visor with their boots! However, I tend to wear clothes while I am climbing mountains, so I would probably be wearing shorts, a T-shirt, and an LL Bean fitness fleece.

  522. Eric | January 15, 2013 | 6:23 pm

I would wear my Bean Boots while winter hiking, hunting, and bird watching in the swamps and uplands of Ohio’s outdoors. I plan on moving to Alaska soon once I have attained my Masters in Environmental Geology, where a pair of high leather, insulated Bean boots would be just perfect!

  593. Dawn | January 15, 2013 | 6:59 pm

I just went through my second knee replacement and haven’t been able to hike in years, so would happily wear my new pair of hiking boots doing what I love best!!

  595. Malea | January 15, 2013 | 6:59 pm

I wear mine with skinny jeans or leggings. They keep my feet nice & warm. :)

  596. kathy sandlin | January 15, 2013 | 7:00 pm

  597. Andy Clark | January 15, 2013 | 7:00 pm

My very first pair of hunting boots were the “Maine Hunting Shoe” back circa 1985. I still have them today and would love to win a new pair!!

  600. Wythe Wilson | January 15, 2013 | 7:01 pm

I would love a pair of insulated loungers or thin sulfate 10 inch boots. Muck boots look good as well and would be great in s.c.lowcountry. We’re we live in very similar to coastal Maine, just more humid

  601. Allie | January 15, 2013 | 7:02 pm

I would wear my Bean boots with boot socks poking out to combat those miserable “wintry mixes” infamously native to Philadelphia.

  602. shawna | January 15, 2013 | 7:02 pm

I am from Maine and will buy my daughter ll bean products but have never bought myself bean boots. I have always wanted a pair.

  606. Tate Kaczmarek | January 15, 2013 | 7:04 pm

This high school junior’s BeanBoot style…
Trekking through the Ozarks or going to school.
The weather changes daily around here, 70′s one day to 30′s the next. So if I had a pair of BeanBoots I know I would trek in style.

  607. Heidi | January 15, 2013 | 7:05 pm

I would wear them anytime I go outside with what ever I am wearing

  608. Adam Jenkins | January 15, 2013 | 7:05 pm

I would wear my Bean boots nearly everyday with jeans, but I would definitely wear them while out duck hunting in Arkansas. I’m pretty sure there would also be a few times where they get tossed on with the PJ’s to go get the paper or check the mail though. :-)

  609. Marcia Flynn | January 15, 2013 | 7:05 pm

I love the Bean Boots but haven’t had the chance to own a pair yet. I would love to pair them up with some comfy wool socks, jeans and a cozy flannel shirt for these snowy, sometimes rainy, winter New England days! Although I am sure they would get used all year round! :0)

  610. Doug Ritchie | January 15, 2013 | 7:06 pm

I would wear my Bean Boots with a huge air of confidence out walking in the rain knowing my feet will be warm and dry. I will wear the Bean Boots together with my made in the USA outfit. Maybe a Vermont Flannel Co. plaid shirt, ranchhand dungarees and 202 Original Drifter both made by Schaefer.

  611. Allison | January 15, 2013 | 7:06 pm

I’d wear my Bean Boots for walking up the snowy hills to get to class!

  612. Dale Davison | January 15, 2013 | 7:06 pm

I wear my Bean Boots with their soft give and take to the Earth for all my winter and wet explorations from here in MT to WA and I wore them for years in NY and then for my brief stint in ME including time as a LLBean sales rep!

  613. Erin | January 15, 2013 | 7:07 pm

I love to wear Bean boots for comfort, warmth, and style! One of my favorite styles is with a wool shirt and a black pea coat! It makes for great pictures too!

  614. Claire | January 15, 2013 | 7:08 pm

Jeans and a sweater out here in CO.

  615. Erin | January 15, 2013 | 7:08 pm

I love to wear Bean boots during school, having to walk from my apartment to campus and then back a couple of times a day.

  616. Maggie | January 15, 2013 | 7:08 pm

I’d wear Beans boots in the yard while putting bird seed in the feeders, it gets so yucky after rain and you slide on the seeds left on the ground.

  617. Michael | January 15, 2013 | 7:10 pm

I would were them Constanly. Weather doesn’t affect them, so they will definetely not affect me.

  618. David Huff | January 15, 2013 | 7:12 pm

  621. Shilpa | January 15, 2013 | 7:13 pm

I would wear my 10 inch shearling lined Bean Boots with skinny bergundy jeans and a rustic leather belt on the bottom. On top, I would wear a sky blue worn-in collared dress shirt with a large chunky navy cable knit sweater. For accessories I would wear a white hand knit scarf from my aunt and a warm L.L. Bean chunky wool/chenille hat in dark mulberry. The tassle on this hat is just so cute- how could I resist? I think the outfit is built for a tough winter (once I throw on a jacket of course) just like the Bean Boots. It also sticks with my New England roots, which is an added bonus!

  622. Tracy | January 15, 2013 | 7:14 pm

I’ll wear my boots and my new Aran Fisherman’s sweater! I’ll be super warm :)

  627. M.E. Kelly | January 15, 2013 | 7:15 pm

I wear my LL Bean Boots of 30+ yr.’s in all 4 seasons but winter they get the most use for me at my home in Massachusetts and in Maine.
The style of boot I have has a liner that is no longer stocked at the Flagship store. The Men’s Wildcat Pro Boots have captured my interest as the boot choice

  628. Denise | January 15, 2013 | 7:16 pm

I’d wear my Bean Boots out and about, whether it’s shopping on the weekends or running errands during the week!

  629. Marylee Avery | January 15, 2013 | 7:16 pm

I would use LL Bean boots for walking into our camp here in Northern NY.

  630. Jim Macika | January 15, 2013 | 7:17 pm

We typically get flooding rains every year in New Orleans, especially during hurricane season. I could definitely use my new L. L. Bean boots to get into my L. L. Bean kayak to cruise (okay, paddle) to the edge of my neighborhood to get a sense of how long it might be before the streets are passable for cars!

  631. Marcy Cohen | January 15, 2013 | 7:17 pm

Of course to keep my feet warm, dry and comfy all winter long! Bean boots are the best!

  632. Annmarie W. | January 15, 2013 | 7:18 pm

I’d be sporting my boots in the snow & rain headed out to the grocery, carting my kids to & from their activities and other ‘mom-ly’ duties! I love your Women’s Bean Boots by L.L.Bean, Shearling Lounger Pull-On!

  633. Bliss | January 15, 2013 | 7:20 pm

First off, the perfect boot. For me that boot is the 16″ Waxed Canvas Maine Hunting Shoe in Marsh Brown. Then I start in with some strategic horizontal stripes, because I love stripes like it’s nobody’s business. Black and white striped leggings, a bold bright yellow vintage dress on top, and just to make sure I don’t look too much like a bumblebee I will pop on a chunky purple necklace and a red winter hat.

…And that’s how a fashion-forward San Francisco gal with deep East Coast roots wears her Bean Boots.

    • Sara | L.L.Bean | January 28, 2013 | 12:04 pm

Congratulations, Bliss! You are the winner of our Bean Boot giveaway. Keep an eye out for our email – we’ll be sending along instructions for claiming your prize.

  637. Malcolm Andrews | January 15, 2013 | 7:22 pm

I have a twenty year-old pair of 12 inch boots with a hole worn in the sole that, thanks to my springer spaniel, has a bite taken out of the leather upper of one boot. I would wear a new pair traipsing through our local stream behind said springer.

  638. HCMii | January 15, 2013 | 7:24 pm

I have had those boots resoled several times and they are still going. I love to wear them any time. They great in the cold, in the rain, or just to slip into to run a few errands. It’s a nice classic boot style with no laces to get caught on anything. And most importantly, it’s fully lined with sheepskin, the most comfortable thing on the planet. :)

  757. Ryan | January 15, 2013 | 9:30 pm

I am a university student in Vancouver, BC, Canada, even though I’m from Indianapolis, Indiana. One of my top favorite things to do out here is to go up to Whistler, a very popular ski resort that also functioned as a venue for multiple winter sports during the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics. However, I don’t go up there to ski… I go up there to explore and trek the great outdoors. While I always end up having a great time, my feet tend to get really wet and cold and sore from lacking a pair of high quality boots (as an international student I don’t have any money to use on things other than tuition, textbooks, and groceries…). When I was young my father had a pair and I always loved wearing them and I wish I had them today. It would make my dream come true if I could win a pair of L.L. Bean boots! (Also since it rains here so much it would be an additional plus!)

I used to wear my black pac boots, bought in 1962, and made by LL Bean in 1943, until the late 1990s. I’d use my new ones to replace those…but I’ll keep them to hand down to another generation.

I have always wanted a pair of these iconic boots! I feel feel like a real grownup then! I would wear them to walk my dogs, work in the yeards, take the kids to the park, run errands, you name it! Most likely I would pair them with cords because that is my favorite pant fabric.

  828. Chris | January 16, 2013 | 6:03 am

  829. Randy | January 16, 2013 | 6:28 am

Living in the country, Bean boots are a way of life, so here goes: walking the dogs, going to school to teach my classes, bringing in wood, out to get the paper and the mail, off to errands–you get the picture!

  833. Beth | January 16, 2013 | 7:04 am

Bean boots would add a lot to my regular jeans and a sweater. I would wear them to walk my son to the bus stop at the end of our dirt road during mud season. Bean boots could handle it and look good doing it. Thanks

  834. Patrick Birch | January 16, 2013 | 7:09 am

Although the timelessness of LL Bean’s boots makes them the perfect accompaniment to almost any style or endeavour I invision myself, oddly enough, wearing them in the most mundane of circumstances. That is to say, shovelling the driveway, chopping wood, or walking the dog. These activities aren’t glamorous or dramatic but they present snapshots of what LL Bean’s boots were designed for, reality.

  835. Celeste Poulin | January 16, 2013 | 7:27 am

I’d wear them with my LLBean Coat for comfort throughout the cold Maine winters.

  836. Sebastien | January 16, 2013 | 7:49 am

  843. Paul | January 16, 2013 | 8:50 am

Definitely Jeans and a sweater. For as comfortable as Bean boots are, the rest of you should be just as comfortable too!

  844. Donnald Dobbins | January 16, 2013 | 8:58 am

Bean Boots were the shoe of choice in college, whether rain or shine, it didn’t matter. I have owned a pair ever since I was 14 years old. The come in handy these days while battling rain in Charleston, SC, or fishing in the NC mountains.

  845. M. Rohde | January 16, 2013 | 9:01 am

I would wear them to work in upstate New York, while I’m out catching and banding birds in the woods! They’d be perfect, since the 4am mornings are often very dewy, and some sturdy, comfortable, waterproof boots are a must.

  846. Nathan | January 16, 2013 | 9:30 am

I would wear them duck hunting in NC/SC, but also just wear them everyday!

  847. Joan Fine | January 16, 2013 | 9:35 am

  848. Jennifer B | January 16, 2013 | 9:37 am

I’ll wear my Bean boots in the winter or heavy rainy days. I have LL Bean snowboots and fleece-line boots, but need boots for winter and traction on the ice and snow! Just to get around and not fall :) I’m thinking about the low height Maine hunting shoe…

  849. Pat | January 16, 2013 | 9:41 am

Living in Vermont means that I get to wear my Bean hiking boots year round! They are men’s in the classic leather hiking style and i’ve subbed out their brown laces for bright red ones. I’ve always loved red laces on brown leather boots. I usually wear them with ancient wool socks, beat up Royal Robbins shorts that I found on the side of the road 15 years ago, and my vintage Bean Matinicus rock sweater.

  852. Christopher Brown | January 16, 2013 | 9:49 am

  861. Bethany Gross | January 16, 2013 | 10:36 am

  862. Carter | January 16, 2013 | 10:45 am

I would wear my Bean boots for walks on the rocky shoreline of the Medomak in Waldoboro, Maine. Afterwards, I’d wear them straight to Moody’s Diner for a cup of coffee and some pie. Moody’s pie and Bean boots fix everything :)

  863. Joe F | January 16, 2013 | 10:48 am

I’d wear my bean boots to take on the messy winter Boston has in store for me while my vest and jacket keep the rest of me warm and dry

  867. MaryAnne | January 16, 2013 | 11:31 am

For myself I would love the Shearling-lined side-zip tall boot because I am outdoors all the time but these would be so wonderful for my winter chores (taking care of pets, shoveling etc.)

If I could I would love for my son (who works construction, plowing, etc. to enjoy the 10″ Bison Shearling-lined boots. His feet are always cold and wet and these would be perfect to keep his feet dry.

    Thanks

  868. Douglas Page | January 16, 2013 | 11:32 am

  870. June | January 16, 2013 | 12:19 pm

Since I love LL Bean boots (and basically everything LL Bean)- but also love BLING- I’d add fun little jewelry/bead accessories to my Bean boots! Little splashes of fun color that will draw even more attention to my boots- and make people smile (perhaps they are laughing at me when I do these things- but that’s ok- laughter is ALWAYS a good thing!) And I’d wear them with just about anything!!!

I wear my rustic side zip deerfield boots when I ride my horse. They’re comfy and stylish for those days I want to go from the barn to a social event. I just make sure they’re clean before I leave the barn. I’d love a pair of the Equestrian deerfield boots for the same reason :-)

  890. Samantha DiFrancisco | January 16, 2013 | 7:58 pm

I would wear the Women’s Maine Hunting Shoe, 10″ Gore-Tex/Thinsulate. I might be 5ft but I live in Buffalo NY where cold winter blizzards can come as a surprise and these boots will fit the bill of nice warm feet all winter long.

  891. B. Hill | January 16, 2013 | 9:32 pm

I find an excuse to wear my bean boots. Bought them years ago because of all the hype & they were made in the USA. Now my husband has a pair and our children are waiting until they grow a little more. Tights, khakis, snowshoes, jeans, or skirts, they go with all. A little rain, a foot of snow, or some slushy puddles, my bean boots get out the door, warm or cold.

  892. Suzanne | January 16, 2013 | 11:09 pm

I’d wear them to walk my dog!

  893. Carol A. | January 17, 2013 | 12:48 am

I would probably wear mine with flannel, a thick fleece hoodie, and a pair of bootleg hipster jeans, just out and about on a cold winter’s day. They’d have to be casual and comfortable though because I’ve been known to ‘forget’ I have my boots on and wear them around the house, probably because my feet are always so cold.

  894. Lil’ Knotty | January 17, 2013 | 2:18 am

True happiness cannot be bought, of that I am aware
But when it comes to L.L. Bean, I do not give a care.

I’d wear them with my overalls, if I had a farm
I’d wear them on my wedding day, as a lucky charm.
I’d put them on my cat, if I was not allergic
I’d wear them in an ambulance, for then it’d be quite urgent.

I’d wear them on a stage, if I were a performer
I’d wear them in the noody-pants, when I am in the shower.
I’d wear them to the work place, and to Sunday school
I’d put them on for dancing, and for simply looking cool.

They’d be my pride and joy, I’d cherish them you bet
With my L.L. Beans I’d be as happy as one can get.

  895. Richard | January 17, 2013 | 3:24 am

I’d wear my LLBean boots Hiking in the Cascades or Olympics with my best friend.

  896. Andrea | January 17, 2013 | 9:25 am

I would LIVE in my Bean boots!!! I also just want to say that I recently had an amazingly easy Customer Service experience when having to return a jacket to LLBean, not only did an actual person answer the phone, but they knew what I had bought, when and where I bought it and exchanged it with no questions asked, without a receipt!
If this wasn’t amazing enough, I just got a letter/check in the mail stating that my daughter had left $5 in the pocket of the jacket I returned and they wanted to be sure to get it back to me! Crazy! There actually are competent, honest big companies in this world! I am beyond impressed LL Bean!!!

    • Laurie | L.L.Bean | January 17, 2013 | 11:23 am

  914. Doreen | January 18, 2013 | 11:48 am

I have a son moving to Maine (I live in Hollis) he will be living in Portland. He has never lived anywhere but California. So he will not be prepared with anything when he gets here. He has Chronic Pancreatis and I would love to buy him his coat and lined jeans and IF I got free boots for him it would seem like, well I just would not believe it I guess. I am retired and don’t have much moner (My names is Doreen Day). He will be here the first week in Feburary.

  922. Chris | January 18, 2013 | 12:12 pm

I pair my bean boots with a killer outfit on the days that Mother Nature aims to turn your day upside down. Most people see a forecast for rain and gloom and think ‘What am I going to wear in this weather?!” and end up sad and depressed about their days. But not me. When the forecast calls for rain, I smile and grab my beans boots, throw on my dark slim-fit favorite pair of jeans, rolled just a bit at the bottom to show off my boots, grab my favorite J. Crew plaid flannel, throw on my waxed Barbour jacket with the hood over my head and head out the door knowing my feet will be warm, and I’ll be looking pretty bad-ass next to the frazzled chick in her galoshes and frizzy hair.

  923. Sarah | January 18, 2013 | 12:14 pm

I’d wear them with skinny jeans and a big sweater — and my LLBean coat! — to play with my 2 yr old in the snow! That way, I’d be able to stay warm and dry as long as he wants to play!

  924. Will | January 18, 2013 | 12:20 pm

My feet get wet on the walk to work every time it rains. And dress shoes are no match for the snow. Bean boots would keep my feet warm and dry all day long. I’d wear them with jeans or flat-front chinos and an oxford cloth button-down.

  925. Patty M. | January 18, 2013 | 12:29 pm

Just got my slip-ons for Christmas and love them! I wear them every morning when I feed our chickens and rabbits, and let the dogs out, but I have already found myself leaving them on for the drive to work. We had rain four days this week and left them on for the whole day. Wearing them with cords or jeans, a heavy sweater and turtle nect is my favorite!

  926. Ashley | January 18, 2013 | 12:31 pm

I would wear my boots during hikes with my dogs!

  935. Bryn | January 18, 2013 | 4:00 pm

What would I wear my Bean Boots with? To quote Marilyn, “Why, Chanel no. 5, of course.”

  936. Peggy S. | January 18, 2013 | 4:10 pm

I would wear them when I’m out with my horse. Nothing like breaking in my nice tennie shoes out with the horse… :) I normally wear my muck boots anywhere near my Shadow.

  937. Jennie Lawson | January 18, 2013 | 7:22 pm

Our mocs are at the door ready to slip on to let the dog out or get the mail…most likely in lounge pants/pjs! We love our bean boots! Thanks for the opportunity to win!

  938. Anh Thu Truong | January 18, 2013 | 11:47 pm

  941. Udom | January 19, 2013 | 2:03 am

Plaid Blazer, with a scarf tucked in a black vest with a solid button down, trousers with a distinct color that sort of matches the scarf but not in an awkward way and of course my LL bean boots!!

  942. Melanie | January 19, 2013 | 10:01 am

I’m a jeans and flannel shirt type of gal – my Bean Boots would go with every outfit!

  943. Lynn K. | January 19, 2013 | 10:52 am

I would be rockin’ the shearling-lined LLBean Signature boot with 16″ of shearling perfection surrounded by luxurious leather and the never-fail-to-be-wonderful made in Maine construction. I would wear them with skinny jeans or cords, or maybe with my Polartec power stretch pants tucked in. Top that with just about any of my LLBean thick and cozy winter sweaters (that would be many collected over the years) +/- a fleece or waterproof layer on top depending on the weather. The boots and I would both be laughing at any weather we came across! Add in walks with my Beagle named Boogle! While I’m in an LLBean-Dream, I’ll also be visiting the log house in Vermont that we will be having built. Wow, these boots will take me everywhere!

  944. Angela S. | January 19, 2013 | 11:22 am

Surprisingly, I don’t own a pair, but I’d love to give them a try. i’m thinking of something like the Women’s Rubber Moc in 11W. I’d wear them to work when it snows and I only have to walk from the car to the door, instead of wearing my heavier LL Bean snow boots and having to change shoes. Our work uniform includes khaki or black pants, and white, french blue or black tops. What color Moc would look best?

  945. Emma | January 19, 2013 | 11:33 am

I’d wear my bean boots with jeans and tshirts year round!

  946. Sheila S. | January 19, 2013 | 12:28 pm

I’d wear my Bean boots while happily slogging through snow and mud hiking with my favorite fellas…on two legs and four. Post-hike, the boots would never be lonely…as they would proudly stand side-by-side with my Katahdin and Tek hikers…also purchased at LLBean!

  947. Grace | January 19, 2013 | 1:02 pm

I would wear my bean boots with my LLBean camp shirts and my favorite pair of light wash jeans. I would wear them proudly, walking my golden retriever through the snow and the rain in my great Western PA small town. It doesn’t get more American than that…

  948. Mika | January 19, 2013 | 1:07 pm

I’d wear my Bean Boots with comfy jeans & my boyfriend’s flannel. Sounds like the perfect outfit for a day out at the beach or around town, or a trip to the mountains…. oh the possibilities.

  949. Marisol | January 19, 2013 | 2:23 pm

  950. Bobbie Jo | January 19, 2013 | 2:50 pm

I would wear my boots all the time. They would be very usefull when I’m camping, hiking, fishing, hunting, and walking my golden retriever everyday. So I defitley would need to have insulated and uninsulated pairs.

  951. ‘licia | January 19, 2013 | 3:39 pm

I’d rock my boots with a sundress thrown over leggings and a thermal long-sleeve shirt. It puts together my two favorite clothing items, Bean boots, and colorful, swishy sundresses!

  952. Tara B. | January 19, 2013 | 4:05 pm

Rain, snow, sunshine, and everything in between – I wear my Bean Boots daily while walking with my son and dogs. When I put on my Stabilicers, there is no stopping us in this frigid icy weather.

I would wear my Bean Boots while playing with my doggie in the snow.

  957. Shogomoc | January 19, 2013 | 7:55 pm

When my American Grandfather came hunting to Canada years ago, he always wore Bean boots, and my Dad and I used to admire them; we would always say that “someday we’ll get ourselves Bean boots of our own”. I held onto that thought for many years until recently, when I had to replace an ageing pair of boots that I used for hunting and winter wear, and bought myself a pair of Bean boots. I wore them last fall with all my hunting apparel (hunter orange, Bean Maine Guide jacket) and they have really come in handy for the last few snowstorms (worn with everything wool – hat, gloves, Maine Guide jacket, home knit socks). If I had a chance to win a pair of Bean boots, I would want my Dad to have them in his choice and size. Dad is still an avid hunter, and new Bean boots would really compliment his wool hunting clothes in the fall, and then also for the snowy winter trips to town running errands.

  958. Angie Beaupre | January 19, 2013 | 9:10 pm

I would wear my Bean Boots while snow shoeing in the great outdoors!

  964. Paige B. | January 20, 2013 | 12:47 pm

I’ve never owned a pair before but considering I recently moved up north, I’m on my way to get some seeing as how I’ve already run through two pairs of boots in the two years I’ve been here and now I need something that lasts for my everyday wear through the snow and rain!

  985. Georgeann Ayers | January 21, 2013 | 8:30 am

I’d wear my bean boots anywhere, with weather like this, you need a pair. Being a mother of 4, I try and make sure they dress practical for the weather out there. I wouldn’t be stingy, my daughter and I would definitely share, for she takes my shoes and clothes, and my eldest son, her big brother, takes all of my coats. I find it funny, they receive new stuff all the time, but always end up borrowing mine.

  1005. Becky Murdy | January 22, 2013 | 9:27 am

I would wear them on a first date. With my future husband. It will most likely be raining and I will most certainly smile about that. I would forgo the umbrella and take the chance that my hair will take a turn for the worse because the feeling of puddle jumping while simultaneously holding down butterflies and holding his hand would trump the anxious concern that our table at dinner will be facing an unapologetic mirror.

I’d wear my Bean Boots with scrunched thick socks, warm tights, wool shorts, a flannel shirt and a festively knit sweater. So, essentially what I’m wearing right now. With temps below freezing and snow flurries in the air, it’s a perfect time to rock a new pair of Bean Boots here in Brooklyn.

  1010. Eric Turner | January 22, 2013 | 10:08 am

And I will wear them in the rain.
And in the dark. And on a train.
And in a car. And in a tree.
They look so good, so good, you see!

So I will wear them in a box.
And I will wear them with a fox.
And I will wear them in a house.
And I will wear them with a mouse.
And I will wear them here and there.
Say! I will wear them ANYWHERE!

These are the best boots I’ve seen!

  1022. Katie W | January 22, 2013 | 5:02 pm

    New England winter? Boston streets?

As appealing as trudging through Boston ice/snow/slush sounds, Bean Boots are a staple in New England winter wear and are among the survival tactics we, Bostons, use to survive our winter commutes to work.

My mom has had her pair of original Bean Boots for over two decades and I would love to finally own a pair of Bison Shearling-Lined Bean Boots to help my survival, of taking all sorts of weather, on my way to work.

  1023. Magida | January 22, 2013 | 5:22 pm

I’d wear my Bean Boots to shovel out of a snowy Midwestern winter, and then to keep my dry from spring rain puddles, and finally to keep me warm as a I snap photos of fall foliage!

  1025. Larry Vanderlinden | January 22, 2013 | 8:40 pm

  1026. Cindy | January 22, 2013 | 11:13 pm

I need these boots because my boyfriend is SICK of me borrowing his! I’ve had to stoop to some pretty sketchy tactics to be the first one to get to them in the mornings and I have to say it’s all worth it when I walk out of the house in them!

  1027. Timothy | January 23, 2013 | 12:03 am

  1040. Diane C | January 25, 2013 | 2:36 am

As I have just about everything else in the LL Bean range it seems odd that after 12 years as a faithful shopper, I have never actually bought a pair of the classic Bean boot. Guess I am a bit wary of the fit and living in England, ordering a pair and then finding out they are the wrong size and then having to send them back! As to when I would wear them – on every available occasion! The bean boot is a work of art and made in the USA so it is something that, as a company, you should be proud of. There is no situation – rain / snow, sunny / overcast, indoor / outdoor, city / countryside, winter / summer – that the boot could not cover. Plus they look rather fab! They are an icon of style and they never date. Never in or out of fashion. They just are…..

  1041. Natalie | January 25, 2013 | 3:11 am

Pulling on a nice pair of warm shearling lined pull on, or wool lined zip boots with my LL Bean jeans and flannel shirt is the style of this’ grandmother of 4 outdoor kids……..They would look pretty snazzy sliding down the hill on the toboggan, and really essential in keeping my toes toasty when I pull kids back up the hill for the next run!

  1042. Pippa Rose | January 25, 2013 | 1:43 pm

I would wear my LL Bean Boots with a pair of Dark Wash Denim Jeans, along with a Black, White and Red Flannel Shirt, under a Creme Button Up Wool Cable Knit Sweater — top that with a cute Beanie with a Pom Pom on top and you’re ready to go! A classic look that will never go out of style!

  1043. Nancy Roseen | January 25, 2013 | 2:32 pm

Maybe it is just that I’m from New England and we love our Bean Boots here, but I love them with any outfit. They just seem to be whatever you need them to be! Like an old pair of slippers or a favorite for going for a walk. Slipping them on is like coming home after a long trip. :)

  1044. Gary Hor | January 25, 2013 | 2:49 pm

I would style my Bean Boots with a personal aesthetic,
Something that looks cool with understated chic,
With a pair of raw indigo denim that gives a sophisticated edge,
And complemented with a chambray shirt that has been faded with age,
A chunky Fair Isle knit cardigan would be perfect when it is chilly,
Paired with a denim jacket that is rugged most definitely,
Not forgetting the finer details of some cool accessories,
Like a pop of color in some beaded bracelets and a preppy repp tie,
That makes the outfit more worthwhile,
Best of all, the Bean Boot would be the star of my look,
As a dependable anchor that is stylistically beyond good!

Definitely a nice boot cut black jeans, cause jean is one of the apparel that wont outdated just like LL Bean Boot… After this many years the design still remain as the icon of the brand. Top would be a good warm outerwear… Cashmere would be the best for comfort, style and keeping warm. Since now is winter and i’m going to travel to new york ! A good craft leather glove, a hand knits scarf and a beanie is a must item to wear together ! Oh… I can imagine how nice it would be. Hope it does comes true haha.. Thank you.

I have been wanting a pair of bean boots for a while now and I have thought of a million different ways to wear the 6′ women’s bean boot. First I’d wear them casually with a skinny jean, over-sized top, and boot socks. Another outfit on rainy days would be with leggings and my rain jacket. Lastly I’d dress up the boot with a sweater and skater skirt.

  1047. Danielle Connell | January 25, 2013 | 8:41 pm

I would wear them with everything! Jeans, leggings, tights. I dress up even on the rainy and snowy days, but I’m accident prone and these will be the stylish practical solution :)

  1048. PLW | January 26, 2013 | 9:32 am

I would wear them daily, from September through Preakness here in central MD. To work, business school, to every Ravens game, and on hikes with the fiancé. There is no substitute for the timeless design and American craftsmanship of the LL Bean duck boot.

I have had many styles and types of bean boots over the years! I love my hiking boots with my goretex stowaway pants and red stowaway pullover . and on rainy days, my little short “duckies” are great to walk the dog around the block!

I love my 6inch bean boots! I generally wear them with dark wash jeans touched into a pair of my fleece camp socks. I generally match that with a button up or sweater to keep warm going to and from school, the grocery store, coffee shops are friends houses. Feet are always warm which makes them perfect but they are also light enough that I dont really feel like I am wearing boots all day. Honestly the perfect shoe for anything outdoor related!

    Thanks for the opportunity!

  1090. Maureen | January 27, 2013 | 8:23 pm

They would be a daily staple for me in the MidWest winters. Between Rain and snow and what ever else comes they would go with what ever I have to wear that day be it jeans or a skirt. I have a down jacket and I have a long duster and I think that the boots would be great with either one of these.

I wear my 8″ Bean Boots everyday doing my chores, feeding sheep and guard dogs. Save my mocs for going to town in rainy weather. Love them both! Would have bought the new red ones, but they don’t seem to come in a narrow width! Too bad for me!
