This year, our iconic L.L.Bean Boot transformed into the Bootmobile and set off on an East Coast tour in celebration of our 100th anniversary. While out on the road, Bootmobile drivers Eric and Keith always meet L.L.Bean fans with their own L.L.Bean stories to share – as well as a few chuckle-worthy “boot” puns.

Looks like our fans can be pretty clever. Here are some of our favorite Bootmobile puns, as submitted by Keith:
“So, they gave you the boot, huh?”
“How does it fit? Is it the right size?”
“Hey, your shoe’s untied!”
“Hope you’ve got some Odor-Eaters™ in that thing.”
“One thing about it…it’s got lots of sole.”

The Bootmobile drivers tread lightly and never let on that they’ve heard them all before.

I feel like such a heel, I’ve searched my sole and can’t seem to come up with anything clever, and it should be such a shoe-in to think up something. You’ll have to give me the boot on this one, somehow the harder I try, the more I just keep stubbing my toe on it.
