L.L.Bean, Fenway Park and the Boston Red Sox enjoy a long and storied history together, going all the way back to when L.L. was a Red Sox season ticket holder in the early 1960s. Red Sox legends Babe Ruth and Ted Williams enjoyed hunting and fishing and were longtime L.L.Bean customers. Ted Williams even offered to buy the company after he retired from baseball.
Currently, L.L.Bean is the official sponsor of Fenway’s rain delay tarp. We’ve been keeping the infield dry for the past three seasons.
This year, both L.L.Bean and Fenway Park celebrate 100th anniversaries. To honor this unique partnership and our shared birthday, we’ve created a very special Boat and Tote from the L.L.Bean rain delay tarp used at Fenway Park.
Trimmed with green handles and bottom, the tote features a specially designed, baseball diamond-inspired patch recognizing L.L.Bean’s 100th anniversary. Inside the tote is a pocket that’s also made from the rain tarp. Each of the 2,012 Fenway Boat and Totes is individually numbered, making them unique collector’s items for baseball and L.L.Bean fans alike. These limited-edition totes were handcrafted in Maine, just as our iconic Boat and Tote has been for more than 65 years.

Mark your calendars now for your chance to own a piece of baseball and L.L.Bean history.
The Fenway Boat & Tote will be available for purchase beginning at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 12. Featured on llbean.com, the tote will be priced at $59.95 and will be sold at the L.L.Bean flagship store in Freeport, Maine as well as the Massachusetts L.L.Bean stores in Burlington, Dedham, and Mansfield. Customers can also order by phone at 800-554-4072. Due to anticipated demand, sales will be limited to one per customer.
