Every summer, right here in our hometown of Freeport, Maine, we invite our friends, family and neighbors to join us for a few months of outdoor fun at our Summer in the Park Series. We’d be thrilled to have you join us this year – the celebrations will be more special than ever.
In honor of our 100th anniversary, we’re kicking off the summer fun with our Hometown Celebration from July 4 to July 7 with free outdoor concerts, a 10K road race, a parade, a craft fair, fireworks and more. See complete event details.

July 14: Food Festival Experience a range of culinary creations dreamed up by chefs from Freeport’s popular restaurants.
July 21: FREE Concert Martin Sexton. Sexton’s music blends many genres of American music, including soul, gospel, country, rock, blues, and R&B.
July 28: Outdoor Discovery Games Experience a little friendly competition during this new event that will include paddling, cycling, running and more.
August 4: FREE Concert Grammy-award-winning folk group Carolina Chocolate Drops.
August 11: KIDSFEST Join us for games, live entertainment and craft making.
August 18: FREE Concert Contemporary bluegrass with Chatham County Line.
August 25: Dog Days of August Our popular event features fun activities, canine contests and presentations by expert dog handlers.
September 1: FREE Concert American country music with Suzy Bogguss.

We are planning a big trip to the North East this summer. From Nebraska it’s quite a drive but we are looking forward to seeing your beautiful part of the country. L.L. Bean is on the trip itinerary.
