L.L.Bean’s Hometown Celebration – Save the Date


This July, in honor of our 100th anniversary, we’re adding a special series of events to our annual Summer in the Park calendar – the L.L.Bean Hometown Celebration on Main Street in Freeport, Maine! Save the dates July 4-7 and join us for free concerts, our first ever street festival, the 35th Annual L.L.Bean Fourth of July 10K Road Race and Family Fun Run, and more special events and activities for your whole family.

 

See the list below for additional details – and be sure to mark your calendars. We can’t wait to celebrate our 100th anniversary with you.

 

Wednesday, July 4

-      35th Annual L.L.Bean 10K Road Race and Family Fun Run
-      Freeport Fourth of July parade, featuring the L.L.Bean Bootmobile
-      Free concert, featuring country artist Jo Dee Messina in Discovery Park

 

 

Thursday, July 5

-      Free Outdoor Discovery Schools activities, including kayaking and stand-up paddleboarding
-      Visits from retired Red Sox player Rico Petrocelli, Wally the Green Monster and the World Series trophies
-      Muddy Bean Boots ice cream sampling, a special flavor created by Gifford’s in celebration of L.L.Bean’s 100th anniversary

 

 

Friday, July 6

-      Outdoor games, with world champion Seth Wescott
-      Appearances by notable Maine authors
-      Farmer’s Market, with kid-friendly arts and crafts
-      Free concerts by regional artists

 

 

Saturday, July 7

-      All-day street festival, with Maine crafts, food and live entertainment
-      Free outdoor concert featuring headliner Chris Isaak
-      Watch our spectacular fireworks display

    We’re excited about all of the events…parade on the 4th, family fun on Saturday! What time is the Dan Zanes concert? and, what is the rule on chairs for Zanes and Isaak?

      Hi Janet, Chairs can be set up for the Chris Isaak concert at the Discovery Park stage beginning midnight on Friday (e.g., 12:01am on Saturday). Dan Zanes will take the Puffin Park stage at 1:15pm on Saturday. We look forward to seeing you there!

      Hi, John. Chris Isaak takes the stage at 7:30p on Saturday evening. He doesn’t have an opening act. We hope you can make it!
