Get Out(fitted) Gear Giveaway—Meet the Experts


Here at L.L.Bean, we’re recognizing our 100th Anniversary with a series of yearlong celebrations. One of our favorites is the Get Out(fitted) Gear Giveaway, a program to give away L.L.Bean gear every day in 2012, for a total of 366 lucky recipients.

 

Once a winner is selected, a team of L.L.Bean customer service representatives, known as Product Support Specialists, speak to the winner, helping them choose the appropriate gear for their next adventure. These talented employees are outdoor enthusiasts and L.L.Bean gear experts who will offer their recommendations to the giveaway recipients.

Last week our 100th Get Out(fitted) Gear Giveaway winner, Andrew C. of Everett, Washington, called to claim his gear package.     While I’ve always appreciated the 100% satisfaction guarantee I will say that I somehow feel terrible when I have to call customer service about a product. I’ve been a devoted LL Bean customer for more years than I care to admit. Let’s put it this way – I have a pair of Maine Hunting Boots that are older than all my kids ages combined! Yes, I still wear those boots! I can count on one hand the number of times I’ve had to call with a product issue and each time customer service has been wonderful, efficient and apologetic. They truly don’t want me to have something that I’m not 100% happy with. Keep up the great work folks.

    Wish there was more selection in Women’s sizes. I only shop LLBean when I feel the need the to replenish my wardrobe. I am very satisfied with the qualityof the items I have purchased, the free shipping, and customer service. Just frustrated at the lack of variety in women’s sizes.
