Saved by the Boots – a Customer’s Story

We’ve heard many stories over the years regarding our customers’ reliance on L.L.Bean Boots for protection against nature’s unruly elements, such as rain or snow. But lightning? Yes, we’ve got a lightning story too.

 

For Alan J. Dreher, Friday the 13th brought about an extremely unusual event – one that almost cost him his life. Although it has been over thirty years since we’ve received this letter, it’s still a remarkable story of how Alan’s loyalty to his Bean Boots actually saved his life.
